PostSubject: Bread and wine.   Tue May 19, 2015 9:40 am

Bread and wine.

At the time of the inauguration of the Last Supper, the Lord's Evening Meal.
There was only one person sitting at that table, who had been anointed with Holy Spirit.
And that was Jesus Christ, at his baptism.
The Apostles, all of them, were not anointed with Holy Spirit until Pentecost 33 CE.

And yet they drank the wine, ate of the bread and commemorated the fact that the bread symbolized the body of Jesus and the wine symbolized his blood.
Soon, in a few hours, his body would be nailed to the cross [torture stake] and his blood was shed, to pay back the debt owed by the sins of Adam.

"[Jesus] is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world"
1 John 2:2 NIV)

Question [s]
If you do not follow the command of Jesus and partake of the bread and wine, are you in some way denying that sacrifice - refusing to accept that it did in fact, take place?

If you do not eat the bread and drink the wine - are you in fact saying that Jesus did not die for you?

Could the refusal to eat the bread and drink the wine, be the greatest insult to Jesus Christ?

Jesus clearly said.
"Keep doing this in remembrance of me"
Luke 22:19
